Wordless Wednesday, with some words.

So I'm sitting on the couch, listening to what I thought was the baby playing happily with her kitchen set, behind me.  I glance to my right - and see her sweet little face.... eye level with me.

*heart stops*

I hop around the couch and catch her standing on the tray of the doll stroller she'd gotten for her birthday.  Perilous, to say the least.  Because I'm the mother of the year - I did not pull her down to safety...  I stood there, ready to catch her if she fell, and yelled for her Daddy to grab my camera.

I had no clue she could climb on stuff.  This adds a whole new level of danger to things, huh?

¿Dónde está el queso? part one.

Our Mexican adventure is over, and all we have left are the photos.  Remarkably, however, I do not have a single picture of Jason, Charlotte and I.  I hate that.  Here are the photos I do have, though.

I'll blog later about the experience of being in Mexico, and how different the experience of renting a house vs. staying at a resort is - but know this...  we were there for a week, and never found where they kept the cheese at the store.

An entry...

This is my first time entering one of the Iheartfaces contests - there's no prize, it's just for fun - but each week, I love perusing the entries and reading the commentary by the judges.    Anyhow, the theme is black and white, and when I heard that - I immediately thought of this photo of Parker. I already posted it a few posts back, but the conversion method I used on this just turned out *exactly* how I'd envisioned.  Which very rarely happens, lol.   I also love Parker's expression.... it's not typical 'newborn' (at least, in my opinion).  I think she looks a little surprised, and I love the messy hair, and the reflection she casts into the chair.

Anyhow, this post counts as my entry.  If you're into photography (all people, kids and adults) the site is fun.  I recommend you check it out! Clicking on the button will take you there...

Sunday Speaks

Every Sunday morning, during worship, one particular part of one of the songs always seems to "stick" with me for the day...  I have this grand idea that I'm going to start sharing whatever that little nugget is.  And pretend like you care.  Ha!

This week, the nugget stuck in my head is from The Remedy, by David Crowder.  If you don't know David Crowder - well, first off....  where have you been?  Second, go!  Listen!  Love!

Oh, I can’t comprehend
I can’t take it all in
Never understand
Such perfect love come
For the broken and beat
For the wounded and weak
Oh, come fall at His feet
He’s the remedy
He’s the remedy

It was hard to take just one portion of the lyrics to post on here, because the song moves me from open to end - but if I posted all the lyrics, some eyes might glaze over and then what will I have accomplished?

Anyhow, like I said - if you don't know DC - go listen.  He's funky and fresh, yo.

I'm back from Mexico, but that's not what this blog is about.

Someone just sent me this link.

I'll sum it up for you.  Instead of paying $1400+ a month for COBRA, we should only have to pay $490 a month, beginning 3/1/09.

Do you have any idea how that changes my life right now?  ANY IDEA?????

Honestly, I never would have imagined such immediate relief from something a politician did.

What's ironic is that I spent the last night in Mexico awake, all night long, sick and having panic episodes.  If I'd heard this, I bet I would've slept like a baby.

Speaking of baby, pics of her and all her yummy cuteness to come tomorrow.

The Sattler Boys

Going into this session I was excited, thinking they'd be so much easier than toddlers.....

Ha!

It was SO MUCH FUN, though.  They are cuh-ray-zee!

Getting them all to look at you and smile?  Good luck!

Brenda & Jerry have their hands full!  And I think I might have traumatized them by taking them to Deep Ellum. They were cracking me up!  I love them, though.  I've watched them grow up over the years into fantastic, but silly, young men.
